Broken Promise

You told me I was the one
You promised you'd stay true
How could you do this to me?
How could I mean nothing to you?

I've lived in the past
Now, moving on is a must
All those moments I thought were love
Were really filled with lust

Life's nothing but a broken promise
A confusing web of lies
It's impossible to make things work
When only one person tries

I won't say I didn't love you
Or pretend I'll still be your friend
But I will admit you've left me
Wondering what might have been
