Broken Meditation
Like a mountain-daughter you descended
From a peak! I opened up my eyes—
Broken was my meditation!
A face pristine I beheld-- what a purity!
Dazzled with unblemished divine rays
Under a sky of many sparkling stars
Your unsullied soul overwhelmed me
Like a glacier slowly glides along its path
With the chorus of murmuring wind,
From my deep heart I beseeched you—
O my beloved, leave me not in
My broken meditation!
Your sweetest name I cherished and
Uttered silently—
You were a goddess, a chaste, an ascetic virgin!
In your eyes I saw a gleaming lustrous thrill,
A deep pain of love melted there,
So pleasing it was to my eyes!
As if through ages you loved me
With plethora of devotion!
O dear, my nirvana I achieved,
Your cool-compassionate light effused
Upon me, I glimpsed a supreme epitome!
