Broken Heart: Wounded Soul

reflected moonlight in a stream
face contorted with fear
blurred vision from falling tears
dejected, I heard her scream 

He broke her heart
and wounded her soul
Alone, she tests the water
not minding that it's cold

What a title, amazing write, and I really liked that last line!

The imagery especially in the first stanza is so sad, I hope the water warms for her Raw heartbreak is hard to deal with:-( hugs jan xx
