Broken Heart Morning

I woke up with a aching heart today I knew something wasn't right straight away The sun was too dim, silence all around I went downstairs and a letter, I found I knew the writing, it was written on my heart But the contents of which just broke it apart It was a letter of goodbye, A letter of sorrow A letter that said, for us, there would be no tomorrow If he didn't love me, who else could? My breaking heart splintered like wood how could he leave me! What did he mean! Before I knew it, my cheeks were now a stream I pulled my self up, my legs, brain and heart of led shuffled upstairs and collapsed on my bed Pulling the pillow up over my head Wishing I never left there instead It was just another, broken heart mourning Early in hours of that fine morning
