Broken Fairytale
The princess finds her prince
In the land of hidden castles
Her fairytale comes true
Despite her parent's hassles
Now with child she moves away
Just as fast as she can go
They'd be no feelings of regret
No, "See, I told you so"
For the princess is all grown up
At the age of seventeen
She and her prince can make it
For there's nothing they haven't seen
Their castle becomes an apartment
Somewhere in the slums
Their feast that was fit for a king
Is now a few leftover crumbs
The princess starts to remember
The words her parents said
For they begged her not to leave
But she chose her prince instead
This is the part where I normally say
They lived happily ever after
But it wasn't to be, the marriage failed
And her life became a disaster
It never turns out like they want it to
This scenario is destined to fail
For there's never a happy ending
In a broken fairytale
