Broken Cord
Once the cord is broken life is about to start
You will be loved and cared for from the heart
Every step you take every word that you say
Someone will be with you each and every day
A time will come when you can do this alone
With this the love appears to be outgrown
That is certainly not true and is not the case
Still cared for and loved with each passing place
Life moves on and your carers are living no more
Now it's your turn to provide the love for sure
Don't ever forget what others have done for you
Repeat it in everything you say and do
