Broken Chain
one last hug, one last glance
one last word, cuz this may be the last chance
a chain connects to my heart with the last hug
as you move farther away, it pulls... it tugs.
can't watch as you fade into the blur
cuz if i'll be okay?..i'm not quite sure.
no lobger in sight, hell your still on my mind
the hole this is creating, I can not bind.
we walk away, 80 lbs. weights on our feet
living in some video game, impossible to beat.
retracing steps we took with you before
the chain between us, I swear it tore.
sooner than later, home "sweet home"
but now, you see, no comforts are shown
whimpering cries,
now my lullabies.
gasping for air
as i feel the last tear.
you flew away.
and left me this way...
