Broken Barrenness
Raised in violence
Never a soft word spoken
Dressed in guilt and shame
Pied Piper paid his token
Pushed, pulled, ravished
Men,women, no one cared
Dipped in blood and sacrifice
Familiar spirits purposefully shared
Loss, from beginning to end
Every gain took its price
For richer or poorer
Every desire has its device
Broken, bruised, battered
Nakedness on an open show
Putting forth the wretched split
Not knowing LOVE wants to grow
The thing avoided by humanity
Barrenness without a seed
Is the one requirement
Compassion needs
....to connect with eternity.
