Broken Angel
Face Blood stained
From tears that she cried
Broken angel wings
Unable to fly
Fallen, trashed
Beaten, and broken
So many words
Gone unspoken
They pour out now
From a river of Blood
Coming from her tears
As her fears begin to flood
Surrounded
The darkness is creeping in
It will soon consume
Her light within
She lowers her head
Hands folded she prays
The lightness is growing
The darkness scared away
Devouring the night the darkness is gone
Blood paints the sky
For the break of dawn
She lifts her head
Breaths “Amen”
Spreads her wings
To fly again
