Broken Angel
Broken Angel
Sugary sweet but with a bloody twist
A story few know and whose lessons many forego
It begins with the lines that binds a lover’s heart
In a world full of life and death, in love we find glory and rest
Before they met all was but a swollen mess
In the outskirts of town he bought a gun
His enemies the clowns in his head, he would vanquish with no second thought
He runs to the liquor store, surely the last day shouldn’t be a bore
On this day he would truly live for tomorrow would never come.
The day was harder than most, her hopes and dreams gone she feels lost
Life had dealt her an unfair hand but who cares right?
She had done given all and all with no result.
Strong as she was, there’s only so much one could take
The revolver she kept under her pillow, would become her solemn hero
But first she calls a local dealer, the last day would be filled with absolute bliss
Drowned in whiskey he climbs to the top of the flat, at the edge he stands,
Flashes of what was and what could have been turn rhetoric, with none to dub heroic
Tormented by a heartache that no fix could fix, she rushes out to her balcony,
Revolver on one hand and a bong on the other, she roars at the unforgiving world
Finger on the trigger, he falls back as the girl’s scream startle him
Looking dawn from the roof he sees a damsel in distress
BANG!!! She pulls the trigger,
He rushes down the flights of stairs, breaks down the door to find her gasping for air
“Stay with me, Hold on!!” he says in tears
The police soon after rush in, BANG! BANG!!
