Broken

Look at all these earthly vessels
There’s so much treasure inside
It’s no wonder why they wrestle
Because self has yet to be denied

Nothing comes to life till it dies
For God desires us to be broken
No matter what the inner man tries
The outer man’s just too outspoken

Where is the real treasure?
In searching high and low
Why take such drastic measures
Either they're blind or they just don’t know

I’ve seen in the land of the living
To many seed begging bread
For this world is so unforgiving
Because this flesh will not lay dead

Please listen to what I say
In God’s word it’s been spoken
To be victorious every single day
Means the outer man must be broken
