Broken

She finds no peace of mind in this world
She hides behind a broken smile
But deep inside she is torn into
A thousand pieces of what she hides.

She’s been broken down,
Beaten into the ground.
Pushed around.

She gave up long ago
Just a hollow shell of
What use to be the innocence
Of her soul.

Her heart just an empty void of
The lies that had been told
And the torture that she has been
Punished with.
