Broke Broke Broke

I was born in the USA But she ain’t what she was that day Broke Broke Broke we her threw it away I thought we all walked this way. Looked around I was alone today. Broke Broke Broke they threw me away. American honor and humanity All those things we’re supposed to be Broke Broke Broke we threw it away. Against social illness all laws shall fail Leave em in poverty and wasting in jail Broke broke broke we threw em away. It’s not laziness or lack of desire Its hopelessness and disparity that fuel their fire Broke broke broke pleasedon’t throw em away First be sure your houses don’t leak. Before into others you take a peek. Broke broke broke don’t throw it away To start the change that we hope to see. It starts with you and it starts with me. Broke broke broke don’t throw it away . We’re told with sugar we can gather those flies. Why do we taste vinegar and hear venal lies. Broke broke broke don’t throw it away. Today’s future dark as night. All because we don’t make it right. Broke broke broke don’t throw it away. Who am I to talk this way? I ain’t much what can I say. I’m Broke broke broke but I won’t go away. There is a path both free and clean To make her be all she should It ain’t broke broke broke let me show you the way Let me show you this path to the American dream You will see how easy it is to get set free It ain’t broke broke broke its how it’s supposed to be. Once again the world will beat a path to our door, Without thoughts of hatred and violent war. It ain’t broke broke broke its called TRUE CHANGE Why? Because if the road you on don’t go to where you want to be…take a different road We’re all American born and American free that freedom better burn inside of we
