What I'd like to give you, is an ounce of my perfume.
It will soothe you in my absence,
Comfort you while I'm away.
I remember what pleasure it's smell brought to you.
Darling won't you please bring me home?

What I'd like to give you, is an ounce of my perfume
To remind you of our unbreakable bond,
To signify our love is strong.
Yes there's only one to whom I belong!
Please darling, please bring me home.

What I'd like to give you, is an ounce of my perfume
Before it's too late, before I've flown!
I don't want to leave you alone!
You are my meaning, my rock, my life!
Yes darling, please bring me home.

What I'd like to give you, is an ounce of my perfume.
My life hangs in the balance in this coma!
Right beside me is you and my aroma.
If I don't make it through,
Know that I love you.

But I don't mind. The contests for me are about rising to set challenges and growing as a writer. But reading through the wins is a good way to learn. Though placing is amazing and a real confidence boost, if we enter to win, we'll find ourselves discouraged if we don't place. :-D thank you for your feedback on my poem. All the best.
