Bring Her Back Home

She’s the one you keep at your bedside just in case Late at night you pull her out from your tired place Her eyes match your sheets but they don’t match your clothes Then you forget who you are but you think maybe she knows Bring her back home or else start anew It’s all ending soon and she’ll be leavin’ you Bring her back home or else start anew You already know what you’re gonna do Don’t you? Sometimes she’ll disguise herself in your book You know she’s there, but you don’t bother to look You have to pretend you see her name in the font And she says she loves you what more do you want? Bring her back home or else start anew It’s all ending soon and she’ll be leavin’ you Bring her back home or else start anew You already know what you’re gonna do Don’t you? You’re an artist and she’s got shadows drawn across her chest It’s getting too dark in here to see the treasure at it’s best When you change clothes, don’t put her back in your drawer ‘Cause don’t she look the finest when she’s already out the door?
