Bright New Day
Day kissed the night to bid goodbye
As I looked at the sultry sky
The memories you left behind
Knock on the windows of my mind
But my mind had shut its windows
From where the haunting wind blows
For, the shadows of yesterday
Must not eclipse my bright new day
A day so bright with shining sun
Awaits my soul, full of fun
There's always a new beginning
To paint a day full of meaning
Even if the sky is dim
Time does not halt the gleam of dream
For, all storms do not come to stay
There's always time for bright new day
