Bridges Will Burn
Do not approach me with contempt
Do not cross me with your haughty disposition.
Do not tread where you are not wanted.
Do not cross my path if I do not give you permission.
Leave behind your ignorance.
Approach with caution, respect is something you earn.
Before you destroy what I have built.
Look out, bridges will burn.
Respect is a mutual entity.
Truth will prevail over all.
Step away from my presence.
I am no longer there to prevent your fall.
Do not lie to my face.
Do not tell me what your heart will yearn.
You knew the cost of your actions.
As I have told you, bridges will burn.
Was I not my brother’s keeper?
Is this what I am owed?
Was I not always there for you?
Look at the seeds you have sowed.
Do not forget the luxuries afforded to you.
Maybe someday you will learn.
Hopefully that future is very near.
Before the bridges burn.
