Brians Psalm

this is not for the talkin'
but more for the walkin'

soup to be eatin'
muck and mud that's still seepin'

creepin'

tryin' to reach the love of the deep and

speakin' a language
that's born out of anguish

power in poetry
when you hear it you know it's me

live for my father GOD
and die for the the hate in me

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

There is great power in poetry, Brian. Sometimes my poems get me in trouble when people who weren't intended to see them read them and think I'm describing them. But if you life for God, any hate you think you feel will be forgiven. Thanks for your comment. You made my day! Best wishes, Carolyn

I see it the same way Brian, brothers aren't necessarily by blood alone. Family lives in love, not in genetics. I'm glad you feel similarly.

This, like the Psalms of David, speaks from your heart in truthful words that carry power for the day! Well done, Brian! Hugs, Donna

Nice psalm Brian. I can almost hear it with a rap beat behind it. The last lines have that impact I can really imagine being yelled into a microphone. God is a good thing to live for and you seem to get how your own hate stands in the way of life itself. it's like you strive to reach him but all this death acts as a block on the love that's just begging to be released. if you want Him don't die for the hate but live for the love, believe me there's a world of difference. -Yoni
