Breathless

I could not believe it, as I stood on a road, so high, Ten thousand feet above the sea level and felt to fly; Thin roads, like jet plane traces, converged, into an uphill - ‘Gravity Defying Hill Ladakh’, known for acute chill...! The story, I heard of the magnetic hill, was, unique, Its magnetic force pulls cars upwards, eye-witnesses speak; I stood speechless as the driver stopped his car, yet, it moved, When vehicles drove, like ghosts, engineless, the truth was proved...! There was a mystic path, Once upon a time, the myths say, Men and women lived blamelessly, and reached heaven this way; I stood, wonderstruck, and experimented with each grass blade, Wonders flew in each molecule as though the heavens swayed...! Observing each moving automobile, I stood breathless, The magnetic hill stood solemn and serene, as deathless; Each small leaf, laced with graces of frost, waved in victory, Each nucleus of dust, therein, seemed benedictory...! I adore the wonders of the creator in each dust, Thinking, hearing, and witnessing, in him I ever trust; Each creature of nature, indeed, is divinity filled, In breathlessness stand each creature, physique-psyche core thrilled...! 27 January 2023
