Breathe For Them
Take a breath for those who can no longer breathe,
Their hopes, lives suffocated by unjust hate,
Take a breath for those whose human rights dwindled,
By crude ignorance, while the truth was stifled
Take a breath for those who look on in hunger,
while greed denies them their fair share with rancour,
Take a breath for those who watch in mute silence,
When they should speak to save, show their dissidence,
Take a breath for those who hold reigns of power
Yet lack the wisdom, equal rights to shower,
Take a breath for those who breathe not in freedom,
Food, water, air not for them in God’s Kingdom!
Take a breath for those who live in tyranny
Take a breath, Take a breath, Take a breath,
Amen!
