Notes About The Poem

So, I decided to ask my Dad for a poetry prompt... "Bread"... thats it, so hopefully this answers the prompt well :-D .... LOL

Bread, Wonderful Bread!

[ To be sang to the tune of 
  "Food Glorious Food" from the musical movie 
  "Oliver!" 1968 ]

We see Bread of many types
Colours range dark brown to white
Bread's the best - well that's the ru-mor
Brioche baps and Tiger rolls
Bagels with their doughnut holes
Then there are those crusty Bloo-mers!
Plenty of crusts and small crumbs can be found
Can be made in to coating for meats
So when it's next baked the aromas awaken
Your senses, then these breads will greet you...

Bread, wonderful Bread!
Naan's best with a curry
Grab yourself a wrap
When you're in a hurry!
And if you want something sweet
Oh, Bread won't let you down...
Croissants and Banana Bread
On Bread lists now!

Bread, wonderful Bread
Toast starts off the morning
More Bread at lunch time!
Bread never gets boring
Just think of your best fillings
Topped off with a sauce
Then Bread, wonderful Bread
Will be the most
Loved food, of course!

Bread, wonderful Bread!
Who cares what it's shaped like?
Flat
Rounded or
Square
It's a daily delight!
Some textures are int-resting
Seeds can make bread crunchy
I'm savouring every bite
Fun while munching!

Bread, wonderful Bread
Some firm and some crispy
Then there's unleavened 
Matzah for Passover...
So Bread is a main staple
Some cultures adore
Oh, Bread
Snack or meal Bread
Gum friendly Bread
All hail the Bread 

Glorious Bread

Won-der-ful Bread!
