Braver Angels

We call on angels, when we approach the end
And we hope that they will hear us and we hope they'll be our friend
We need companions, that understand our plight
And we need to know that they will show compassion and take flight
Our needs are plenty, are the angels strong enough
Four score and twenty, when the times are getting tough
We're looking skyward, but we should to look around
And know the bravest angels sometimes never leave the ground

So take flight, in your spirit and your soul
And brave the night, though it's long, and dark, and cold
Lend a hand, where you see one reaching out
And take a stand, brave angels face down fear and doubt
Make your Heaven here on earth and spread it round
And know that braver angels, will always be around

Bridge:

Listen for the sound of folded wings
Ruffling in the breeze that healing brings
They can help to mend those broken wings
Lifting up a voice that sweetly sings
repeat substituting "bravely sings"

So take flight, in your spirit and your soul
And brave the night, though it's long, and dark, and cold
Lend a hand, where you see one reaching out
And take a stand, brave angels face down fear and doubt
Make your Heaven here on earth and spread it round
And know that braver angels, will always be around
Please know that braver angels, will always be around
