Brand New Me
Like shadows on the smiles of a whisper,
I perspire as I learn of the liar,
Seeing whom I'm supposed to be,
Longing to be free,
So I can see the way things should agree,
And begin a whole new me.
I'm going to drive myself,
Tell myself, calmly breath,
And do the deed,
And handle my everyday strife,
And accept that its life,
Caress its hand and be who I am,
Because I am a man and can stand,
On my own two feet
And beat defeat
And get myself together.
I proudly scream "Never!"
Ever will I let forever be my slave,
I'm done this day with the games people play,
Only so much you can take,
I refuse to be so fake,
And become what I hate,
I know its not to late.
Finely I believe.
In myself I can do this,
