Brand New Day

Yesterday was yesterday
And that's where it will stay
Tomorrow is tomorrow
That's always miles away
Today is today
One whole day
Fresh and new
With opportunities on display.

How will you greet,
This brand new day?
Will you go back to sleep?
To while the hours away.
Or will you rise
With an optimistic view
And with open eyes
Do the best that you can do.
