Boys and Girls

In middle school, I've never intended to be interested in anyone
the girls had claws the size of a minivan
it could extend to a couple feet to hundreds of feet in seconds.
The claws had a mind of it's own, they would grapple me
to drain my body or to rip me into shreds.
Blood would be everywhere, my screams would be internal
while the girl with the claws wouldn't even notice.
I never wanted this, neither did the girl, I got used to it after a while.

Hello! I’m a student in high school. I am currently working on a speech event where I am to preform poetry of other people in front of judges. I really liked your poem on the girls in middle school because I found it something very relatable to my topic and myself. I was wondering if I could use your poem for this event. The title and your name will be given credit in my introduction.

Yes, of course, you can use my poem if you'd like, as long as you give credit. It's kind of a dark poem, but if you really want to perform it, then sure, you have my permission.
