Bound

I am but a prisoner
held by memories of a grieving mind

There seem’s no key that can release me
Save the healing hands of time

Were I not chained…….so tightly bound
by responsibilities which hold me tight

I would be pursuing you my love
With every ounce of mortal might

This burning flame - my loving heart -
and my soul - born but for you

I live in prayerful hope- and taste of dream
our time together be not through

Yet here am I……..by service bound,
Swaying upon the seas

With fearful thought,,,best of our love……
be found in our memories

Chained
Without hope of escape
Forced to replay
Our days now past

Bitter tears,,,,,the only sweetness yet remaining
