Borrowed Time
Sorrow and tomorrow, they weigh heavy on my mind
Like a burden I can't seem to leave behind
But in my darkest hour, when all seems lost
I turn to Jesus and he bears the cost
The price of my sins, he paid with his life
And in return, he saved me from eternal strife
So when sorrow comes knocking at my door
I know that tomorrow, I'll be saved once more
For Jesus holds me in his loving embrace
And gives me strength to run this earthly race
He is my salvation, my hope for tomorrow
And with him by my side, I'll never feel sorrow
But still I wonder why he chose me
A lowly sinner, so unworthy to be free
Yet through his grace and endless love
I am blessed with borrowed time from above
So though tomorrow may bring its share of sorrow
I know that with Jesus, I'll have a brighter tomorrow
For in him lies the key to eternal bliss
And with each passing day, I'm reminded of this.
