Born Free
The Lion looks forlorn as he paces around the cage
Humans staring at him
As if he was on a stage
In a Circus or a Fair
He was king of the jungle
And needed to be there
He wanted his freedom
That is every animal's right
Not Human Beings ogling Lions
Waiting for them to bite
Because this is what Lions do
If they are trapped and humiliated
Caged in a Zoo
They have a kingdom
Where they are King
Why? are they held captive
When they have done nothing
Lion's can't cage Humans
For other animals to scrutinize
Humans are caged for punishment
Murder Theft and Lies
In my imagination
I've put people in a cage
I doubt if any animal
Would look at us on stage
I think that animals
Have better things to do
Than ogling at humans
In cages at the zoo
