Born Fallen and Broken

We have all been broken and fallen
Twisted by sin in that way. Our first
Instincts are often negative, that causes
Us to say, and do wrong things day by day.

When we follow our old ways it last only
A while, and gratifies the flesh just the same.
But when we allow Him who came and die in our
Place, to do what we can’t through his grace.

Born broken and fallen is not an excuse, and no
We don’t have to stay that way. His ways are perfect
He sees and knows our flaws. He’s only a prayer away
All said and done in His name is for a worthy cause.

A powerful message here! When "broken and fallen", we must dust ourselves off and head over to His path. Best wishes, Mikki

NOt sure we are born terribly fallen and broken, but I enjoy your ultimate message here. I love your name. Abraham Lincoln is my hero of all the men that ever lived in the United States. Was it your given name or a pen name?
