Boom Bang a Bang
[In years gone by the UK would often do well in
The Eurovision Song Contest. Then, with many
nations simply voting for their neighbours, or
showing disdain for a Britain that opted to stand
on its own two feet, we frequently receive zero or
few votes… It sure ain’t about the songs.]
BOOM, BANG a bang, an old Lulu song
From song contest days when we couldn’t go wrong
Today though, we might as well make gongs go BONG
Or simply not bother and go play PING pong
We wake up to breakfast ‘SNAP, CRACKLE and POP!’
To find out our entry went PLOP, plop, plop
Next year some scruffy old mutts might help
If they take to the stage with a HOWL, WOOF and YELP
