Books

A book to cover my face
A portal to a different place
Where dragons, wizards and romance roam
A different place to call my home
Reading one line after another, they do not smother
The imagery that I can only see
Give me all that I need
In books, I am the hero, the villain, and the companion
Either way, I feel like a champion
Books my home away from home
The words as sweet as honeycomb
The lines across the page
The lines that help me engage.
These books transport me to a different place
Where I can see in my mind
Where I have all that I can find
