Book of Love

He glued down all of her pictures And wrote the dates upon the side In order, when they were taken Of his lovely, blushing bride Then he taped the old love letters He'd written, when they first met Then sprayed it with her perfume A smell, he couldn't forget He pressed a rose inside his book To remind him of her smile Then he put in all the valentines He was able to compile He taped down both their wedding bands A promise, he'd planned to keep He loved her 'til the day she died This love he carried so deep As he fumbles through the pages He thanks the Lord above On its binding he writes with tear stained eyes This is our Book of Love
