Book Ever-Opened

Deployed upon my desk
It's finite with infinite reach
Close, yes, not closed
That knowledge it bears to teach
Instead that I might learn, even now,
Old man that I am
Never stray far from me, wisdom
Avidly I search it's pages, for,
Revealed within pages frail,
Yearning, every entry, each to tell its tale.

When i write I wouldn't be without my on line dictionary/thesaurus - when I am at the school I head for a 'real' dictionary and I can find the words quicker than the students can turn the computer on to find them:-) hugs Jan xx
