Bonkers

The world has gone bonkers these days All the negative news has an impact on our lives It's difficult to have a happy outlook When we greet each other with “high fives” There's always someone rocking the boat Expecting to be handed stuff on a silver platter That's not the way it works any more We all need to exhibit some signs of grey matter Well there still are a few of us left I trust That gaze off into space trying not to drool It's embarrassing at the very least Inviting them for a dip in our swimming pool The world has gone bonkers these days All the negative news has an impact on our lives Just smile and giggle and roll on the floor Keep taking those dirty big breaths to survive

Sorry I had to back out of our Tim Horton's rendezvous! As I said I've lost my mobility! If I could have made it I surely would have my good friend! Cheers! (Ah yes "bonkers")

Love your poem, Glad I am not the only one that has noticed its all gone bonkers. Few of the young take pride in their work, mistakes are a plenty. It wasn't that way when I was young, It got done right the first time. Sorry is a word bandied about but it doesn't fix their error. I guess I will learn to roll on the floor with you Jack.

My mood recently has been anything but jovial! The world is really in one big old mess but is it any worse than it has been since we be became "civilized"? Guess it's the mood I'm in... I apologize! Okay ENOUGH! Happiness reigns! How about happy old Aussieland? Let's roll together! XOX
