Bonded

I can feel you with me now,
Even though you’re not around–
The warmth and softness of your skin,
Your smile and all your loving sounds

I feel my worried mind grow calm–
My wild, internal storms all cease,
Replaced by silent, tranquil waters,
When I imagine you and me

I feel we’re somehow closer now–
Both joined by forces yet unseen,
Tied by the love we gave each other,
Marked deep within our hearts, it seems

I feel a warmth wash over me,
When thinking of the bond we share,
And all the time we have to dream
About our life together.
