Bold
If courage will take me through this life
give me more of it, if passion will elevate
me to the mountain top, immerse me in it
and if love should die a thousand times rekindle it
draw the distance on the map
with all the energy that you have got
sing a romantic tune and tell your love
that you will be coming home soon
lift the sword in the air
and wield it around without fear
cast it into the sea and some people
will be there waiting for thee
a figure will appear in the sky
and you will fully understand your life
cowards have died a thousand deaths
but bravery dangles from the towers
and earth opens its flaming gut to devour
while mercy waits patiently for him
If companionship will shape my life
let me experience it and remove the
foolish people from around me
and open my eyes so that I can understand thee
oh that mankind would see the true
distance that lies in front of the sea
and the energy that is flowing towards me
If courage should wrapped it arm around
my feet and anchor my soul
before the journey is complete
you would crawl on your belly
and rise up on your feet
drench yourself with wine at mid-day
and beckon the multitude to come your way
If love is the only thing
that can pull me out of the deep
cover me with boldness
and let my spirit weep
meet me on top of the hill
where wild flower runs
like vine in the street
and let your bold heart speaks.
