Bodies Touched and Hearts Glowed

Bodies touched and hearts glowed
When you held me near
I knew that time was fleeting
But of that, I had no fear

We had nothing in common
And our love was built on sin
I was there below you body
But what I felt was more than skin

We were always with each other
You stole my heart and my time away
And now when you try to talk to me
I don’t know what to say

It should never be like this
And I’m praying that it won’t
But it’s too hard to see you
When I feel this and you don’t

But my heart is so resilient
And it’s been through this before
A love walks in and stays awhile
But quickly exits through the door

Yes, I still want you near me
Or at least I think I do
Even if I may regret
Ever having fallen in love with you
