Bobbie Jo's Hat
Bobbie jo went to town
to buy a hat, no hats here
they said to her.
Why me, oh my, what am I
to do said bobbie jo to herself,
hat, need a hat,
what am I to do.
Bobbie jo from store to store
went she, no hats,
no where any more.
Bobbie jo always wore hats,
never without them,
hats on her head,
to adore,
across the street,
there she spied a hat,
that was sitting on a rack.
Bobbie jo ran as fast
as she could, but when she
reached that store,
someone else had her
hat at last.
Poor bobbie jo,
not wanting to go home,
with no hat, so she
sat down for awhile,
to think a spell.
Bobbie jo thought and thought,
oh bobbie jo, tomorrow is
Tuesday and Beehive
department store always
has a hat sale that day.
Bobbie jo picked herself
up, smiled, not worried
anymore,
she knew tomorrow would
be a better day.
