Blue Snow

Standing here all I can feel
is the wind blowing away
my memories of our friendship,
reveries and sacred compassion.
Standing here all I can see is a
fading shadow walking further
away from me.
Standing here all I can hear is
nothing but silent echoes of
your charming voice.
Standing here all I can sense
is blue snow slowly running
down my tender skin,
all I can feel is a numbing pain for loss
has consumed my inner fire,
slowly dimming like the stars
at night.

very interesting piece of work Leighann, it ( along with some other poems of yours) reminds me of much of the poetryof Irish poet PATRICK KAVANAGH....perhaps you are familiar with his work or even like it??..... well done...best wishes ...Syd
