Blue Rose

Petals off a blue rose
Fall like autumn leaves
Seasons change and feelings go
Blown away by summer's breeze

The cold is a reminder
Of the last days I spent with you
Maybe one day I'll find her
The ghost of the love we knew

But time keeps marching onward
Another night staring at stars
I'm told to move forward
Even though your heart is far

In another life someday
I hope to try again
Say the things we couldn't say
And let eternity begin

But now I stay reclusive
A flower that could not grow
Its beauty forever elusive
The blossom of a blue rose
