Blue Nights

A cry of loneliness
Goes out in the night
A plea of longing
For loves missing light

A heart is beating
For unknown love
Awaiting arrival
Of that beautiful dove

A teardrop wells
In the corner of eye
Heartstruck emotion
For love passing by

A quivering lip
The reach of a hand
To touch the desire
Between woman and man

Cold is the shadow
Of others in love
They soak up the sun
That shines from above

If only a moment
Could be spared for the meek
The touch of a hand
Or a kiss on the cheek

A soft spoken word
Romantically said
A stroke of the hand
Down the back of the head

A gentle embrace
In the night when it's cold
Somebody to love
Somebody to hold

A cry of lonliness
Goes out in the night
Begging redemption
From this sorrowful blight

Outstanding poem. So much emotion was dripping off of every word. The rhymes were perfect and flawless. You write such powerfully emotive piece with your crafted language. Love this wonderful creation my dear poet.

This is a so tragically and wonderfully beautiful. Also, your form is fantastic. Most people who rhyme have no rhythm. The rhythm within this piece is perfect.
