Blue Midnight

When the evening shadows fall,
and the love birds softly call,
To their lovers in the distance far,
That's the time my loneliness,
brings out my restlessness,
On this Blue, Blue midnight....

The only lights shining low,
are the moonbeams dancing glow,
As they lead me on my weary way,
So my darling I'm confessing,
That you have my blessing,
On this Blue, Blue midnight.

(Bridge)

It's not easy at the stroke of twelve,
neath a ceiling of stars up above,
A warn moon to tease, a passionate breeze,
but no one in my arms to love........

And soon the magic hour will go,
and with it, I will surely know,
That I won't be seeing you tonight,
But I'll have the memory,
Of the only girl for me,
On this Blue, Blue Midnight....(fade)

Interesting lyrical work..Does it have a melody that accompanies it?..I believe poetic people are different from the general population and of course different from each other but poetic people understand each other better...Thanks for the comments on my work..Sara

You paint pictures with my heart. (Ow) This piece is a play unto itself and a painting that should be hung in galleries. How fitting that I should wander 'pon such words at inconspicuous moments. I pleasantly thank you for allowing me to gaze if not but briefly, but surely. (bows)
