Blue Love

Sometimes “I love you” is just a question
And “I love you too” can just be an echo
Love is full of insecurities and tension
Desperation shown in flowers and deco
Love is lips begging ears for attention
It always has a mind to explore
Tormented by fears we can’t mention
The threat of heartbreak is always a shadow
A kiss is a taste of how much we are missed
And we try to smell out unknown odour
We are never in love but always bewitched
Seeking assurance when incarcerated in a cuddle
Never in place, often afraid of being switched
With an evergreen eyeball
“Do you love me?” gives away doubts and defeat
“Of course I love you” is always hollow
