Blue feathered beauty
of stained glass design
your song in the wind
is a whir and a whine.
Impatient and weary
of limbs swept and bare,
you tighten your grip
to unbosom a jeer
or bob from your perch
to rattle a cry
that bristles the crest
of a soul mate nearby.
