Blue Eyes

Though we never get along You’re stuck inside my head like my favorite song A single haunting melody All but crushing, crumbling me Your eyes are piercing, icy, cold They stare into my very soul You know how to throw your words, like knives To make sure I do not survive You seem so nice, you act so kind But no one knows what’s in your mind You cut my heart, you pierce my soul Until there's nothing but an empty hole I cannot stand to see your face But from my memory, I cannot erase My existence, you are the very bane So why can't I get you out of my brain?

Nice poem Avery. It's always been said there is somebody on this earth for everybody, the odds of those two people being raised in the same town are astronomical.

I feel your frustration Avery Ken, its never easy to let go of someone who has penetrated your soul. I know, I know.
