Blue Eyes

the snake with blue eyes
is always tellin lies
be careful little girl what you believe

he'll con you in
to a world full of sin
and all that you hear is deceit

cause the snake always knows
what you wanna hear
and he'll do everything to show
that he holds you dear

hes played this game before
hes faced many wars
and that devil knows just what to do

with those words you'll be sure
that he will always want more
that forked tongue can forever sooth

the snake with blue eyes
is always tellin lies
be careful little girl what you believe

for i know this demon all too well
the snake that i speak of is me.

o but then

i thought the snake with blue eyes
was the one tellin lies
but nothing could be further from the truth

for the snake with green eyes
had crept up inside
and made all my dreams come true

and i know how it hurts
when that poison sinks in
after the first time she bites

the pain is too familiar
and blended with sin
turning all that's wrong into right

cause the snake with green eyes
was the one tellin lies
the snake with green eyes was you
