Blue Escape

Looking out over the cliff to the waters azure, Pondering life’s questions that are so unsure. On the ocean waves floats all my dreams, While washing away my fears or so it seems. Morning light on the ocean produces a sapphire hue, While the water on blades of grass is a clear dew. The scenes seem so peaceful and full of grace, It just eases my soul and slows down my pace. Its quiet hypnotic trance produced seems to heal, Escaping the reality of life for a time is its appeal. Suddenly the wind churns the waters indigo blue, Human awareness returns to the things I knew.

Hi, Lee I love the flow, every line is a genuine rhyming couplet... The morning image is worth the wake.. I'm always looking forward to the tiny crimson horizon ... may I escape with this lovely poem.. you painted a world beyond a beautiful dream, even more lovely than the cobalt waters that surround me... Good luck in the contest.. nice to see you back..xox~pd
