Blow You Off
I want my words to cut diamonds, wipe the smirk off your two-faces,
I just want to see you moved, but you remain complacent.
These eggshells will burst their yolks between my toes,
And the only witness to my fits and tears will be the crow.
Undeterred and underrated, I will say what must be said,
Because I can share emotions if I can share your bed.
Clandestine interactions, sleepy lies, selfish flattery,
You’ll recover when the door closes, I was at best a battery.
Well now the life is gone, wrung the towel, killed the keg,
You stole the spring in my step, I refuse to cling to your leg.
Divergent fault my ego, you spread the lies to make something new,
And in the end I come to find, my eyes shine brighter without you.
