Blow Our Top

I am that I am, yet each day, I change,
do you find these words so peculiarly strange?
My thoughts, feelings and emotions, you see,
no more do they rule over me.
In the time of silence, they raise their head,
the truth in the heart, wins instead.
The driving, the anger the emotions, stay in place,
as you seek out the truth, in Gods Grace.
In the silence, the truth is always seen,
how thoughts, feelings and emotions, can make us mean.
It’s not always that we don’t care,
it’s just that right now, we have a lot to bear.
Our nerves go up, feeling pressure in the ear,
as we release pressure, on those who are near.
It feels so good, it gets hard to stop,
do we go on, till we blow our top?
I realize I am only responsible for the things that I am, you see,
as I know each day, my thoughts, feelings and emotions, changes me.
No more of the darkness of my past,
what we face with the truth, it’s grips won’t last.
After the battle is over, and your made whole,
thoughts, feelings, and emotions, can’t drive your soul.
They will lead you, guide you, to where you need to be,
when you’re thoughts, feelings and emotions, all agree.
