Blossom

I only want to see you blossom
Let your beauty bless the world
Watch you grow beneath my smile
My angelic, blue eyed, daddy’s girl

I only want you to know love
I’ll set the standard for you to use
So when the boys start noticing you
You’ll be educated when you choose

I only want you to be smart
And not just what you find in books
I’ll teach you about all aspects of life
So you can outsmart the fakes and crooks

I only want what’s best for you.
Personally, I know all the worst things
Life can throw at a person, and I’ve
Survived them all. I want you to know
Everyday just how proud of you I am.
How happy it makes me to get to be your dad.
Although the distance has been hard
On us both, time is on our side.
And time will bring us together.
I only want to see you blossom.
Blossom like the beautiful little sunflower you are.
My Rio Sun Rae...
